Once the video effect is in the scene, make a cut in your effect and duplicate it as many times as you want using Ctrl + D. Select an area, right click, and select “Create Null and Camera.” Select your footage and your video effect, then right click and choose “Replace with After Effects Composition.” Select your clip, click “Tracker,” and click “Track Camera.” To track an effect into a scene using Adobe After Effects, drag your paint splatter effect into your timeline (we chose this black X) and scale it down. Experiment with the Blend Modes to get different looks for your effect you can also adjust the Color Balance (HLS) to change the colors of the paint effects. To change the color of this paint splatter effect, drag Tint (under Video Effects → Color Correction) onto the white effect you’d like altered and select “Map White to” and select your new color. Hold down the Alt key to duplicate the clip over and over again so the video effects can last through the duration of your video.
